Digital Photography Intermediate Workshop

This workshop is a follow-up to the Digital Photography Simplified workshop. Over the course of seven hours participants will delve more deeply into the fundamentals of digital photography.

Topics include:
  • exposure
  • exposure compensation, AEB, AEL
  • flash photography including slow sync, front and rear curtain sync
  • tripods and other techniques for sharper photos
  • focusing techniques
  • color theory and calibration
  • digital workflow and Lightroom
  • other post-processing software
  • and more
Several hands-on exercises reinforce the topics. You are expected to have mastered the previous workshop or know how to operate your camera in shutter priority, aperture priority, and manual modes. Participants are required to bring a DSLR (no point-and-shoots, please) with two memory cards, two charged batteries, external flash with manual, and tripod. You may also want to bring a laptop to take notes or a pad of paper.
